The Eureka Stockade: A significant event

You are currently employed by a prominent daily newspaper.  Your editorial team has been commissioned to produce the commemorative issue for the 150th Anniversary of the Eureka Stockade.  Your task is to produce the front page of this edition.

Read historical  narratives from different perspectives and listen to present day speakers in similar roles. Complete comparison charts of similarities and differences between their roles now and then.

 

Students describe the events of the Eureka Stockade. The eyewitness account is:

 Library skills  focus. (Students select most suitable presentation form  (eg. powerpoint, timeline, report, etc.)

 

Students explain the significance of Eureka Stockade in Australian History. Identify and explain the

Student create an electronically  published document to emulate a newspaper. Students will
