How can we depict who we are in a visual form?
|
Background
Information:
Task:
-
As a curator, study two
pieces of art and complete a
summary sheet to rate two portraits of different styles.
This will enable you to make informed decisions when creating
your own portrait.
-
Using your knowledge of famous artists and
their work you will create your portrait for the exhibition using the
digital camera and Serif Photoplus 5.5 Software as part of the
artwork. Your artwork will depict your identity in the form of your choice.
- It is important that you complete a log
book which describes and records the processes you went through to make your
artwork (pictures and texts). It must include the initial digital photo and
a photo of your completed work.
- Give your completed artwork a suitable
title.
- Present a talk about it describing:
a. the materials and techniques you used.
b. the influences you had.
c. your own judgement about your artwork.

Using the EduWeb Topics Utility a blank
word document named 'logbook.doc' can be placed in each
students work folder. The student then opens 'logbook.doc' to
complete their work. The 'logbook.doc' is hyperlinked and can be
viewed in the web browser. This ensures all students have the
presentation saved in the correct folder.
