Cultural Study

HSIE Cultures  CUS 3.4    Using Technology  UTS3.9

CUS 3.4 Examines how cultures change through interactions with other cultures and the environment.

 

Students will learn about traditions, beliefs and practices of Australia as compared with at least one other nation in the Asia - Pacific region.

UTS3.9 Evaluates, selects and uses a range of equipment, computer based technology, materials and other resources to meet the requirements and constraints of investigation and design tasks.

 

 

Background Information: The world is made up of a great diversity of cultural groups.
Each group expresses its identity through clothes, language or cultural activities, such as music, dance, art and craft .
The Japanese, Balinese and Chinese are examples of such cultural groups and are some of Australia's neighbours.

Many Australians visit these countries every year.

Using the EduWeb Topics Utility a blank power point presentation named 'culturalpres.ppt' can be placed in each students work folder. The student then opens 'culturalpres.ppt' to complete their work. The 'culturalpres.ppt' is hyperlinked and can be viewed in the web browser. This ensures all students have the presentation saved in the correct folder.
